I could probably find it, but I'm too lazy...
What is the string needed for the PLAY command to play the death sound?(the one you always hear at the end of old video games)

It's probably played using the SOUND command, seeing as (if I know the noise you're thinking about) it's not a musical note, its a
BLIIRRUUUUHH
style noise.
Experiment with
for i = 50 to 18 step -1
sound i, <milisecond value>
next i
and you'll probably come up with it.

Prepare to be suprised... It's not there.
Duh-(faster)duh-duh-(slightley slower)duh-(faster)duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh
I wish my computer had a microphone! I'd record it, give you a link, and THEN you'd know what I'm talking about!
EDIT: It starts with this tidbit of code:
Code: Select all
thisismysoundtidbit$ = "L2CL4CCL3C"
Play thisismysoundtidbit$

thisismysoundtidbit$ = "L2CL4CCL3C"
Going by your "duh-duh" description of it, I'd say the code is
play "L2 C L4 CC L3 C L5 CCCCCCC"

Get a tape recorder, record the sound, go to a cyber cafe/friends house/rent a recording studio of 30 seconds, record the sound into a wav file, then stick it up here.
Go a little out of your way (I'm not saying buy a new computer w/a microphone), and we'll be able to help.

Shit! Yeah, I forgot!
Dude, plug your speaker/walkman headphones into the microphone jack...
the sensitivity might be lower, but it does work (and microphones work as speakers aswel if you don't beleive me, it's easier to test that)

I'm reviving the dead!!!
I recently remembered one game I heard it in!
Anyone remember the King's Quest series? Whenever you died, you would hear that music that I want! I need the PLAY code for it! I MUST HAVE IT! (starts foaming at the mouth)

Is this the sound you're looking for?
wawawawawaaaaa.wav
I found it on Google. I can't give you the PLAY code for it, but maybe someone else can now that they've heard it (if it's the right sound, that is).
If swimming is so good for your figure, how do you explain walruses?
