First Impression Oh, neat! This game is awesome...wait a second...Those graphics are ripped from WARCRAFT!!!
What It's Like This is a low-tech version of Warcraft with graphics ripped from...guess what...Warcraft! This actually is a great game, even though it is a copy of Warcraft and has stolen it's graphics. You are a lord or a war leader or something and you must run your city, protecting it from attack, and building up it's army and population. You also will attack other cities, or kill their leaders and stuff like that. This does not have real time action like Warcraft, mainly because of the programmer's lack of programming knowledge, and QBASIC's lack of speed and power. This is more RPG and random luck than strategy and building up your army and killing orcs.
Other things you should know To get this to run for me, I had to run QB with the /AH option and add '$DYNAMIC to the top so that it would run.

Graphics Theives don't get perfect scores on their programs because they did not make the graphics. :P The building graphics for this game were stolen from Warcraft. The people, and land features were made by the author. Either way, the graphics are excellent! I don't see why such an artist had to rip graphics from Warcraft...

Sound No sound, although in the options menu, he has the options for Adlib and PC Speaker music, but they aren't enabled yet. :(

Plot/Story You pretty much make your own story in this game. You choose from menus. You can get money by trading lumber for gold, or killing a ruler of another city. You also get lumber and footmen by killing other cities' rulers. There's a bit of other stuff in this game. To win this demo, you have to increase your population to 100 people. In further versions (which will come out), there will be many more features.

Gameplay/Control The arrow keys move the selection square on the map. 'S' Moves your cursor up and down on the menu on the 'frame'. 'P' plots a building after you have it selected. Enter confirms, Escape cancels. There are the keys for you. There is no readme file, so I had to look at the source to find out what to press to do stuff. I pass it on to you. This works okay, but I always press the wrong key when I mean to do something else. This is a good game for the mouse to be enabled in.

Overall Impression The graphics are ripped, but I don't care. This is a first class QBASIC game. It needs a bit more stuff to do, but other than that, it's great!
