Heh... (Not keeping to the chat, I got bored after reading two page posts)
When ever I finish building my new computer, I would like a dual boot WinXP and Linux.... So I can code both Windows and Linux apps....
(A tri boot, if posible, then have Win, Linux, and Mac... Muhahahaha! j/k... ^_^ )

Read my last post on the third page...Oh and in order for that triboot system to work, you would need both a Pentium IV(or athalon, xeon, etc.) and an G4 processor. OS X is not meant for an intel processor...

I do know that you can have two of the same processors(AMP system) but two different? I don't know...

Heh, you're so dead wrong, it's not even funny. You can dual-boot or even trio-boot operating systems on an 8088 if you've got a hard drive large enough to hold the OSes, the CPU has zilch to do with it. Also, OS X will soon run on Intel processors, since Macintosh has decided to forsake Motorolla processors in favor of Intel processors.Bill Gates wrote:Read my last post on the third page...Oh and in order for that triboot system to work, you would need both a Pentium IV(or athalon, xeon, etc.) and an G4 processor. You could fit each distro of Linux, plus every version of MS-DOS, PC-DOS, DR-DOS, and FreeDOS, plus all versions of Windows 1 thru 3, and then Windows 95, 98, ME, NT3, NT4, Windows 2000, Windows XP, OS/2, and if you feel like it, maybe even a copy of V2_OS.Rattrapmax6 wrote:I intend on getting a 200gb HDD.... How many OSs would that hold?
OR...
One copy of Windows Vista.

How much space would that leave for each partition?
Oh yeah, and I forgot about the Apple-Intel movement...

Re: Reply
I was thinking about the fact that windows and OS X were on different processor lines so you would need the ATI G4... But then you reminded me of the apple- intel movement... I screwed up...Nekrophidius wrote:Heh, you're so dead wrong, it's not even funny. I know why you're here. I know what you've been doing... why you hardly sleep, why you live alone, and why night after night, you sit by your computer...<br>
