I can't run QuickBasic 7.1 on my Windows XP. The first one is a 16 bits and the second is a 32 bits. I thing I need a pif file but don't know how to make it. Can you help me?

A pif file is a Shortcut you put on your desktop...

I don't have a WIN XP,. but does it have a Dos cammand promt? Or on the shutdown menu, Restart to MS DOS? If so, you might could access it that way...

Also make sure you got all the 7.1 files and libs that come with it in the same folder with it, if not, it won't run..

Command Prompt XP has it does...
Mm..Regret I do, QuickBASIC 7.1 I have not....
But QB4.5 have I, and had the same problem I did...
Stupid XP is...
Make shortcut on your desktop you must, right click it you should...
Click on properties now...
Behold the pif looking at you are...
Forgot have I how to change it correctly...
Play around with it you should, skrew around with it is must...
Shoved QB4.5 down XP's thought eventually I did....
But now it woks, and that's all care I..

I have use the dos prompt shortcut on windows and go to my directory quickbasic 7.1 and type qbx and it work. I have made a little batch file to simplified the access.
