well actually, qbasic is not much of a useful language without dosbox.
I really don't know why you guys like to still use the old quickbasic.. it's just a slow programming language to get anywhere.
when I ran into freebasic, I figure it has a descently fast but not as fast as c++.
there was also another thread somewhere about quickerbasic a programming language like qb which is backed by gcc. I dunno what happened to it. guess it was vaporware too.
next thing I want to say, I might get called a spammer but there is a non "basic" like website I wanted to show you, called profilactic. which is about keeping in touch with other peeps just incase if they quit the community or something like that.
so anyways, my main question is, how is the world of qb is doing and will it finally get replaced by something else besides freebasic? like quickerbasic?
a real true fact, I used qbasic over c++ back in the old days because it was a freak of a lot easier to learn and at the same time it was an unfortunate of a slow pole of a language as well. well since freebasic exists, thought it could replaces the QB becuase of speed period however with the newer updates, it seems to be slowly moving away from the old fashion basic style syntax.
oh well. theres probally other basic compilers out there.
i still have a hard time trying to find out why you still use the old fashion qbasic. just for fun?
