I was just browsing a few posts here and some contained direct links to image files stored on photobucket.com but when I looked at them, the images were extremely blurry and have the grey photobucket logo stamped on them.
Its too bad there isn't a better service to share real images out there without something wrecking them. but then again I think photobucket would do this because they want people on their site only to see the images, and who knows, maybe their site is filled with advertising as well.
Images stored on photobucket are not hot-linkable

Re: Images stored on photobucket are not hot-linkable
PhotoBucket screwed us by forcing us to pay to share images online which was FREE FOR YEARS.
1) They stopped all image sharing without a payment of hundreds of dollars
2) When that did not work, they allowed images with PhotoBucket overlays
3) They blurred photos for people with over 1000 shared images who won't pay.
