Hi all

A big thanks to Pete for putting my request up. :)

I would really hope that the three TG games available, are reviewed as a single entity, since my original vision was to have all those elements in a single game. But for various reasons, I had to keep them in seperate EXE programs.

It originally started as a 2 player only thing, which I developed to also have a simple 1 player tournament mode, with backgrounds and AI. I then wanted to boost the 1 player side of things, so created the minigames title with saving. I would say the minigames version is the strongest of the 3. Finally I set about improving the multiplayer side of things to include up to 4 players.

I have plans for further improvements, but they may have to wait a long time.

Also, they were all done in pure QB, which I learnt from studying the help menus. Meaning, to be perfectly honest, the graphics and sound are mostly rubbish. Well, the backgounrds are quite nice, people tell me, but thats about it. It's all functional.

I hope that whoever reviews it, takes the time to find 3 other people and really have a go at thrashing the multiplayer side of things. It may look terribly basic, but I assure you, it is fun once you get the hang of the controls, and actually have a human player by your side. After which, the minigames make a nice solo experience. :)

I also made a simple Dreamcast version (someone else did the programming), but that only includes a 2 player mode and nothing else.

So yeah, these QB versions contain the most ideas.

If anyone has any questions about TG, fire away.

I would very much like a tutorial on accessing the Internet using TCP/IP protocals. Or however you would access the internet. I have no clue how.

Nathan, that's were you're wrong. Seb Mate of GIMI is able to do it, and there's another tutorial which uses some stuff of windows 3.x. So there's a possibility... and I'm gonna try to implent it Qbinux...

GIMI relies on a third party windows program to connect to the net. But, yes, it's very possible to use networking from QB..
I have left this dump.

1. GetWeb wasn't third-party

2. I think he was referring to the DOS TCP/IP routines Sebastian Mate wrote after GIMI.

I think it's probably simpler to use regular text file then pete would just have to clip in the formatting codes for his template :-)

Imortis: The article sounds great! Any format is fine -- I can take care of the formatting.
