FIX for Windows folders that crawl loading in Win 7 or 8

Postby burger2227 » Tue Jul 08, 2014 11:59 am

Ever open a folder in Windows Explorer and have to wait for a progress bar to load the files?

The problem is that the folder is most likely designated as a picture or music folder which requires special loading.

Right Click in the folder between files and go to Properties/ Customize to change the folder type to General items:

This trick also works in Windows 8. It will save you a bunch of waiting time if you don't need thumbnails over and over!
