This looked pretty interesting, I downloaded some of it, but still have not figured out how to get it installed and running,
Pac Man is a favorite , in fact that is why I keep DOS, I have a real nice old Dos version of pacman, it runs ok with dos box, but it is even better, with "real" DOS,..
Hope I can get this running, there is a "game engine" that is needed too,.. to play it,..but it looks interesting.
Edited: Here is the Dos version,

I downloaded them on my 98 and XP and they work fine. No sound on XP. Don't have a joystick on either PC. The arrow key setup is a bit tough to use. You have to be faster than the paths or you keep going in that direction.

OK, thanks, I did that, too, I copied them to my windowsXP partition, and they do work now,
apparently I need a different version for linux, the game engine "love", was available, for linux, in my "package installer",..
I have always wanted to do a PacMan clone with qb64, but don't know enough to do it,and no one else seems to be very interested in trying,.. the closest was one called "tron-pacman" I can't remember off hand who did it,..I will get back later on that.

Here it is :
A neat Tron_pacman , written by Theopage, here is the drop box link:

This includes the source, and a compiled executable,...

Interesting reading. I remember playing Pac Man on my Apple II, but never got especially good at it.
I actually plan on soon starting a Pac Man type of project in Game Maker.

I tried "GameMaker" a long time ago,..but it is not the same as actually writing your own code,
I am be more interested in, doing it with qbasic, and qb64,...and now with qb64 gl, a 3d version could be done,...

True, with the convenience and ease of use of Game Maker you sacrifice a little bit in raw power as compared to writing it from scratch in a conventional language. But then again, Game Maker is still fairly powerful, and has a great scripting language for times when you need as much flexibility as possible.
