Vista and Telnet

Post by Vesuvius »

Was wondering if anyone knows a good, free, vista compatible telnet client? And download location. I've searched the net a little bit but cannot find a good one.

There'sa few options

Telnet is optional now in windows. Hence, This is the way to install Telnet Go to Control Panel->Programs. Depending on your VISTA, you will find there option called "Windows features" or "Advanced ...."inside these and look carefully you will find option to install telnet or switch it on. If you cant find it maybe you have Vista RC2 in which case you would find it in:

Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > Telnet Client

you can als download AbsoluteTelnet which supports telnet of course. you can find that here:

Hope this helps. let me know if any of these worked out so we can look at other options if none of them worked.
