Voting In The Downloads Section

Post by Pete »

I just noticed that somebody went through the Downloads section and rated just about everything with very low scores. Ones and twos.

Hmmmm.....

Maybe you guys should go and rate your favorite programs higher to help improve the scores of the good programs.

It's a good thing the script is set up to only allow an IP address to vote once on a particular program.

Maybe registered user's vote should count twice... ;)

About the IP blocking of second-votes, it works a bit too strict for me... I can only vote once, and only once... :)

Do you mean you can vote only *once* for all the programs in the downloads section (can only vote on one program, and then you are blocked)?

Or can you just vote once per program?

Once per program is what I intended, and that's how it should work.

I could only vote *once* for all the programs in the downloads section, so it's your first sentence.

Although it might be because I don't have cookies or so... ;)

It might be cookie related, since I set up double protection: both cookies and IP blocking.

Does anybody else have this problem?

I've adjusted my heavy firewall a bit, and it seems to work ok now ;)
