Character creation tutorial....

Well in my last tutorial about Plot Line Creation...I sort of touched on this. Giving both the good and bad guy a past, a reason for hatred or love. SOmething that either drives them or makes them who they are. But I think I need to expand on this. Especially for secondary characters. This will greatly improve ones ability for the creation of dialogue between characters. Usually in amature games you get
"What do you want?"
"To cross."
"Fight first."
"OK."
And then they fight. This is ridiculous, and not in a funny way. So I think I'll develop a character creation tutorial. Would anyone here be willing to read it? DOes this sound interesting? I mean we could turn that convo into this.

"Guard: This is his Majesty's private bridge, you may not pass."
"Levi: Please, I must cross. Kiana is in trouble."
"Guard: I said leave, urchen."
"Levi: Please, I don't want trouble."
"Guard: Well you've just found it. Cain, we have a trouble maker, get over here."
Then the fight scene.

Sounds interesting! It's a good idea for a tutorial. You're right about a lot of QB RPG dialogue being pretty *ahem* subpar. Anyway, if you write it, I'll gladly run it in QB Express.

That sounds cool. Maybe it?s the hurry what makes peoples do that...or need to make small as possible code in game?

Hey Levi, how's that tutorial coming along?

If you get it done before Nov. 15th, I can run it in QB Express Issue #4.
