Okay, so the deadline has come and past, and we've received about FIVE submissions. (In a normal issue, we receive 25 - 30 or more items.)

There will be a new issue by the end of the week, but it will be pathetically small. If you have ANYTHING you can submit, please send it in!

Hi Pete.
"A magazine by the QB community, for the QB community!"
If QB (i would ratherly use FB there tho) community does not want to contribute more then it is so. Publish next issue when you got it built, no matter how small it is.

I am sad that QB users wont contribute nearly at all anymore. Its FB and nothing more.
Why QB users wont contribute anymore? Maybe because there is no fun anymore.
Do a trick with QB and takes 2 minutes until someone comes and says "You can do that with FB like with one function, which is included there allready."
Or create a game (no matter how cool it is as QB game) and no one cares since with FB its possible to do same in with 100^better graphics and include also a neat sound efects.

I dont not flame anyone because of the reasons, but i am sad because of consequences.

Wondering why here http://www.network54.com/Index/10167 or http://qbasic.com/forum/ do not have any post about qbe?

I just stopped posting there because those guys never have contributed anything to the magazine. (Aside from that whack job mennonite.)

It's not entirely programming related (and not FB related at all) but I've got an article up on finding a pretty big bug in Office XP.

Well, that sucks... I hope the next issue will be larger again, I will try to finish my (very large!) tutorial on special effects for the next issue, but I'm not sure it will be done. Im not that far with it, but all the subjects are things I already did in the past. I will be very proud when I finished it and it doesn't suck.

Apologies the new issue isn't out yet... I unexpectedly got another job, and have been working 12 hour days lately... It will be out ASAP!

PS: Submissions are still being accepted!

I've got two more ideas for tutorials. I'm thinking of sending one to Ortise and one to here.

http://ortise.forumco.com/

I haven't decided which to send where. It's between menus and triangle sweeping.

Mentat, how does www.mentat.ortise.com sound? I've got a new host for Ortise and it doesn't use the Wiki anymore. I'll probably use the Wiki again while I'm developing the new layout. I can have as many subdomains as I want as well as restricted FTP accounts. If you want me to set that site up for you I can, as long as you know how to make HTML pages. Currently I've been working on http://jbdb.ortise.com , a resource repository for JustBASIC. Tell me what you think.

Yeeps, sorry #26 hasn't been released!

I got hired to work on this reality tv show pilot and I've been doing ridiculous shifts the last few days...9AM to as late as 2AM the next morning.

The issue will be out as soon as I get a day free.
