The question is...why do these sort of posts attract more people than some other, worthy posts?
It was obviously a spambot...so just leave it until the mods delete it.

Posts have lives of their own, how they started often becomes a moot point. The "worthy posts" are usually less populated because people don't want to "ruin" them, hence they last shorter.
