if i type " when using qb i get @ on the screen and visa versa but not in windows

erm... lemme see... DOS keyboard layout are diffrent from the Windows keyboard layout...
So actually you are using an American (or English) and it shows as an English (or American)...
Try the settings for the dos-box...

lolololol...
command prompt. cmd.exe. command.com. DOS!!!
Its DOS in windows... but it is in a box... when you hit alt+enter. Go to start>programs>command promt, pc-dos, or ms-dos to accsess...

omg!!! You use QuickBasic but don't know DOS... That's like not knowing that there actually was a good OS before Windows ever stepped in... yeah... DOS the good old days of a stable (atleast more then Windows) Os.

Ray, you could always try FreeBasic, it's a windows based version of QB, with the exact same commands available.

^_^ Yeah,. FreeBasic is so much like QBasic, I forget that I ever stopped using QB.. in ways, I never did.. its so cool!!!

I use FB and know little about windows GUI stuff.. lol,.. or maybe dubbed latter: WinBox... Don't get me wrong, I can use it fine, just not code ne of it.. lol...
