I'll be sure to have my random access file tutor ready long before then. I was converting it to work with FB but I'll keep it in QB for now. Maybe add an addendum to it with an FB version of the example I made in there. for the next release after that.

It depends on the size of the program you're planning to make. QB 4.5 has a syntax that's much closer to the QBasic 1.1 you've been using. The PDS 7.1 is close to, it offers more commands but essentially it's the same as QB 4.5 cept some commands might have changed, some added. The reason the size o...

Which version of QB do you have? Where did you get it from? Maybe it's a simple question of a quick library that isn't included or loaded with your QB that should be. Maybe it's a directory that isn't specified that should be for include files or others.

From what you're describing it should work, the folder seems ok...just make sure your bas7*.hlp is in C:\QBX\HELP and not C:\HELP like you seem to have them right now...or check your Help File Path in the Options to c:\HELP Unless QB needs write access to read the help file, it should work...what dr...

Ok question isn't clear :-). I'll assume you want to know how to make the help file work when you press F1 (or go to the help menu) in the QuickBasic PDS 7.1. If not let me know :-) Here's the walkthrough :-) 1. Start your QuickBasic 7.1 2. Go to your Options menu and select "Set Paths ..."...

I guess it depends on our past experiences.

For windows VB loops for examples are actually faster than that of VC++ and Delphi....since loops are highly used, it's a good thing to know.

But if you don't like it, you don't like ;-).
