Sounds like homework to me! We don't do homework, but here are some hints. 1) Place the string into a variable$ and LCASE$ or UCASE$ it. 2) Use a loop to get each letter of the string using MID$. 3) USE the ASCII codes to determine the count. Look up the codes and the ASC function. You will need IF ...

Sorry, Pete! I did not think that EK would take it so personally. I saw Roy's post in the main QB forum, but only found EK's later. After they had posted, Pete put up a memorial page to leave condolences, tributes, or memories. It is only going to be up for one month and then Pete is going to take i...

Post something anyhow in the Memorial Page that Pete has posted for a month.

If the program is an EXE file, you cannot read it unless there are specific text file names used. A BAS file can be read if the program was saved as a text viewable file. Try converting it to text by using the QB editor. Just check the the text viewable in other programs box in File /SAVE AS. Try lo...

Dunno bout that
Libraries are used to work with a program's code. Not send values to a program as far as I know. For instance, the QB45 library can work with Interrupt, but it does not tell you anything. It works with values that your program sends to Interrupt. Libraries are just ways to work with a program proced...

Do you have Qbasic? Try them out and see.
Change the values a little to see the differences.
Try asking Bob at his new QB graphics Forum site:

As to the number of pixel counts, write the series 0 to 10. You can then count the numbers and you end up with 11. In your mind, you try to subtract 0 from 10 and get 10. Always add 1 if you use subtraction first. Just like QB code (whatever that is) would do it. boxpixels = (40 - 0) + 1 returns the...
