Petesqbsite is not dead! It still has a pulse. Kinda. At the very least, it will be online in its present form forever. I still care about this site. I am planning to do some major updates here at some point. I just have to find the time...life is busy, and after nearly twelve years, I've moved on t...

Hey guys... This spam/phishing problem seems to be widespread through PHPBB forums all over the Internet, and I haven't found a way to prevent it yet. If anyone has heard of a solution, please send me an email. (pberg1@gmail.com) If the problem persists and I can't figure out a way to block the spam...

It appears like every user on the forum got it. I have banned this IP and deleted the account. Hopefully it doesn't happen again. I installed an Anti-Spam suite for this forum a while ago and up to this point, it had been nearly flawless at blocking spambots. Only human spammers were able to post an...

Hahaha...you have to live where the game studios are in order to be a beta tester. A lot of game studios are based in LA (EA, Activision, as well as all of the ones made at film stuidos...etc.) I'm not sure where else you'll find beta testing work, but I would guess there's a lot of game companies i...

You're talking about being a "beta tester" for videogames. It's actually not that fun or glamorous. I have a few friends that do it out here in Los Angeles (one of them works on Guitar Hero). Basically, you replay the same level or area, hundreds of times and try to break the game. Your jo...

Microsoft isn't trying to kill QB / DOS, there's just no market for it anymore. Why develop backwards compatibility if only a handful of users are gonna ever use it? They have much bigger fish to fry...like building a good web browser for instance.

I believe Angelo Mottola might have actually recoded Wetspot 2 in C a few years ago...or maybe he was making another sequel in C. I remember he had a website called EC++ (Enhanced Creations ++) a while back with all of his projects on it, but it seems to be gone now.

The look of the title bar and scroll bar aren't something you control with HTML / CSS -- they are determined by the user's browser software (and will vary from browser to browser).

As for the Favicon, that's easy! Here's a tutorial:
