Many QB programs will compile at 64K, but not ones that use so many SHARED variables. Why not try to place the arrays into the SUB call parameters? QB 7 or PDS have some peculiarities also. Did you read the M$ recommendations? Your code is 3000 lines? Then you are using a lot of code memory also. Yo...

Place the program files into your QB45 folder.

Chapter 11 (QBasic11.bas) has port information............There are a couple of different ways to acess Serial port information.

You can get data from the port directly if you use OUT or INP, but you need to know the port addresses. Windows can tell you that, but only COM 1 or 2 can be used when you OPEN COM.

What do you mean by jump? You can move it anywhere with PUT. To erase the previous position use a black box.

A LINE statement can also create boxes. You don't need B or BF if you just want lines. That was a syntax of the LINE statement. But you are limited to 16 colors from 0 to 15
