Looks good! I'm glad QB64 was able to run the code so well.
Is there an alternative to using the DRAW command for your text? There must be a more compatible and speedier way to achieve that effect.

Forum spam issues
Many of you may have noticed that there has been a lot of spam posted on this forum recently by spambots. I went through and deleted all of the posts and spam users, and I just installed several PHPBB mods that will hopefully take care of the issue. I'm not sure if it will work yet (we'll wait and s...

Yikes, long time, no updates
Hey everyone! Sorry about the radio silence in updates as of late. I can't believe I haven't updated since October. I'm hoping to release that long lost issue of QB Express in the next week or so. It's pretty clear now that I'm never going to get it back to a monthly / bimonthly release schedule, bu...

Six Word Stories
I just made a new website -- stories told in just six words. http://www.sixwordstories.net Inspired by Ernest Hemingway's story... "For sale: Baby shoes. Never worn." It's really taken off in the last 24 hours. Front page of Reddit, featured on StumbleUpon, the blogosphere, etc. -- 20,000 ...

Sorry for the QBE #30 delays
QB Express will come out SOON. Apologies! I got back from my trip through Asia a few weeks ago and have spent the holidays relaxing, visiting friends, and NOT thinking about QB. Some things are higher priority than QB Express, I guess! But rest assured, the next issue will be a good one and will be ...

Ooh, sorry about that. I'm actually making a new Freebasic sub-section of this site that is going to have a dedicated FB tutorials page. (Coming SOON.) That's why I removed the Freebasic heading from the old Tutorials section...I want to remove the FB specific tutorials from the QBasic tutorials. Th...

This chatroom has been shared between QB sites for over ten years:

Maybe use that one with an upgraded chat client?

Hey Lachie and Mark -- the QB Games Directory is still having problems. If I enter through http://www.qbasic.com/games all the links in the sidebar are broken, but I get no malware alert errors. If I enter through http://games.qbasic.com/ I still get a malware warning, AND the link to the main site ...

Cool, it's off to a good start! Still, I'm not sure how many RSS feeds you're going to find around the Qmunity, because hardly any of the sites are still updated... One issue I noticed is that there are some duplicate news get repeated, because I post the same news on both my site and QBasic News. (...

On another note, did you know that http://games.qbasic.com sets off some type of anti-malware warning in both FireFox and Chrome? I emailed Lachie about it a while ago, but he seemed uninterested in fixing the problem. Maybe this has something to do with your webhost? Warning: Visiting this site may...

The Freebasic place is based on Drupal, that's obvious. Joomal is a good CMS too. Anyone have any suggestions on which to use, or other scripts? I don't have any experience with Joomla, but I found Drupal to have too many features and too overly-complicated when I played around with it. I think big...

That sounds great -- though personally, I hate the setup and layout of the N54 forum. It's really outdated, hard to read, and I hate the fact that you can't register. I think we should probably bring this discussion to the Network54 users and see what they think. QBasic.com belongs to them a whole l...
