You could make a new shortcut in the QB folder and add the space /L to it. Try that. If you want to put it on the desktop just copy it there.
Why do you need /AH anyway? I seldom use that anyhow.

I Don't know what /ad does, but I just use the path and QB.EXE /L for the library. Here is a batch file command line that I use to keep my IP connection in XP: REM Line below for use with XP or NT PC's only! REM out for Win 9x. GET and PUT use a certain syntax. They can both be used when a file is Opened FOR RANDOM. They can only use ONE variable and you should start from record one when writing the file initially or leave the recordplace blank if consecutive : Get #filenumber, recordplace, recordvalues ' reads a Random fi...

Yes, but that is their problem. I guess having an open chat forum would create problems. We had people using proxy servers to create problems at N54. Also you might want to join the Top 50 list at QbasicStation Mark. Jack is doing the list himself. All you have to do is add some code to your main pa...

How long can you be logged in for? It would be nice to see your status, although I only see an option to Logout or Admin there, so I assumed I was still logged in. Now, when I log in to chat, I see a Login button and a place to Login with a password. Since I am already logged on, I can just click Lo...

Not perfect
I had trouble finding the Login and Register links. Doesn't tell you your login status and actually how long can you be logged in?
I think the links should be in the top bar. I joined yesterday. Chat worked ok though I was by myself there.

I have an idea for you to ponder Mark. Could you set up a QB programming chat area on the new server site? Our chat area at N54 now requires membership in R group and does not work well. Often chat is lost in the conversations there so you have to retype them. If you want to try, we can get Pete to ...

UPLOADS at new server site for Qbasic Station
Now you have to go into My Profile and click on My Files to search your PC for the Zip file to upload. Then you can describe it in the edit list of a new file upload.
You do not need approval so long as it is a QBasic BAS or EXE.

I am just reporting what I found Mark. I am not going to rationalize it or turn off my AV to visit the page! I gather that JS may denote a Java Script intrusion. Do what you will, but I am sure that others will be blocked hopefully. Why would they take a chance on it? I will not. I have had a few vi...

I think the browser text size also may make the page screen larger. I had to increase it to read some web pages easier. As to the Trojan, I don't want to even find out what it's payload is! I like Avast as it blocks the page from coming up. There is NO excuse to allow a virus or trojan to linger on ...

VIRUS alert at Qbasic.com games link!
Though something like this was mentioned a while ago, I wanted to note that when I went to QBasic.com and clicked Games it took me to a page that caused Avast Antivirus to pop up saying a virus trojan/worm has been detected: DO NOT CLICK this LINK if not protected! http://www.qbasic.com/games/\unp18...

The site name is great, but I don't think another site is really necessary. Perhaps a current site could just move there. Of course, a new owner would make some decisions that some will criticize. The real question is will it be used? The site was losing posts anyway. I don't think the N54 site is i...
