Petesqbsite is not dead! It still has a pulse. Kinda. At the very least, it will be online in its present form forever. I still care about this site. I am planning to do some major updates here at some point. I just have to find the time...life is busy, and after nearly twelve years, I've moved on ...

Yeah, coding for the DS is so much fun. You could almost do it ala QB in framebuffer mode. IE, direct video pixel blits. ;*)

I have been contacting AAP for the past month to no avail. ;*(

Yo Optimus!! Long time no see. Yeah, the QB community is almost dying but the FB community is still kicking. Well, I'm kinda absent from the community too. LOL. I mainly go to dbf and freebasic.net these days though I mostly code for the Nintendo DS (since 1 month ago.) http://rel.betterwebber.com/j...

From what others have told me, especially in a few forums she moderated it does sound like a Zip. But, Zire had a lot of better things to do, I would think, than loafing in a QB place. Either way they know their stuff code and hacking wise. FB Nazi admins. chased Z!re away. I love tough women! Ted ...

I especcially like the tutorial on springs and I look forward to the next part. My tutorial about Worms-style stuff was better in my memories :P. But it actually kinda sucks now. (Not that I had another version or something, I just expected that it was better). Maybe I will make a tutorial part 2, ...

The latest 18b version supports just about anything. From QB compatible code, FB 17b and below, to lang deprecated so you should download the latest version if I were you. Then you also want to DL FBedit as it has defaults for almost all the command line arguments. Like QB, FBedit gives you the abil...

It's actually a very easy effect to achieve. It's just radial blurring. You could google that and find lots of tutorials. The way it works is just to blur from the center while also scaling the blur process. This may be of help. :*) http://www.jhlabs.com/ip/blurring.html EDIT: I had time so I made y...

What exactly are you experiencing? "snow" or "flicker".

You might want to use a double buffer and draw on that buffer instead of drawing directly on the screen.

As for vertical retrace, that's the only way I know of. (wait)

It's a QB4.5 directory search problem. It searches for drives everytime you open a file. And when it gets to 3 and 1/2 floppy, things get slow because of mechanical reasons.

Plasma made a patch that fixes that prob.
