Why would you write that out in QBASIC? In C++ all you have to do is type "sqrt".

When you said 1/3 of the on-screen map is the limit size, I didn't know what you meant. Somewhere I read that you could have a four gig map, but only the on-screen portion would use memory, so I was planning to have a map near the size of the "Legend of Zelda" overground, with smaller maps from door...
