cool. it would be neat to see this turn into an actual integrated virtual desktop sort of like litestep. where it would run fb code natively.

it doesnt really matter... as long as z is into or out of the screen and all of your poly points are either CCW or CW, then just do a test to see which one yields a -1 and which yields a +1, then do not draw the one that is facing away

do your normal 3d math, and projection, once you have the 2d screen coordinates, use the cross product on them, if (-) then its facing away from the screen, if (+) its facing the viewer. you dont need to do it on the 3d points because you'll be wasting clocks on the z coor when you can just do it on...

you always rotate around an axis and the origin. once you've completed your rotation you translate your points to an object location to make it appear as if they rotated around some remote location. heres an example using formulas only, no matricies. this was the way i learned '--- simple 3d engine ...

outstanding, im glad it works, but im not sure which part of my bug fixes fixed it, heh. thanks for posting about two lords also.

do you have cookies disabled for the site?

if so when it goes back to the front page, does it have the php session id in the address bar?

if so, when you change pages, is the sessionid still in the address bar?

i think i fixed the problem. my session variables wernt registering, and i wasnt transfering the sessionid when i was using javascript for redirecting. does it work for you now?

k you go to the site, currently logged out... at the top, next to the drop down it shoudl say "log in / register". click on my profile, it should show the login form and say you must log in to edit your profile. you enter your login info, click login, it should take you back to the my prof...

i agree, rel's tutorials are a great place to start. thats exactly where i started when working with opengl. also id highly recommend learning collision detection and basic physics coding in a 2d environment before making a 3d game.
