UT goty has simple background story but i think that game(type) dont necessarely need it.
Its just kill or get killed and in that genre, ut goty is best. period

Amen. It doesn't stop in high school. My conversations go like this:

"I don't like Microsoft."
"Why not? Bill Gates invented the internet."

At which point I scream expletives and stab whoever I'm talking to.

Anyway, BF1942 is much better than UT goty because of the AIRPLANES! I've never had the chance to play it online though.

UT Goty is best ever. Eventho its old now and it has pretty ugly graphics if we compare it to new games it is still the best.
No any other game has ever reached same feeling level and i doubt never will.

I don't like FPS's because I'm in 8th grade, surrounded by Microsoft fanboys who think Halo is the best game ever. They are all obsessed with mmorpg's too, there's nothing else they play. The following is an actual conversation I had.

"I need to get away from all these fanboys who play nothing but mmorpgs. Do you play any?"
"Just World of Warcraft"
"Why? That game is a waste of time"
"Oh, don't worry, I only play it 2 hours a day, but that's only on weekends."
"Go die."

UT have no story at all has it? UT 2004 has some kind of wacko offline thingy I think but off no interest. I really really really got to play hl1, hl2 and episode 1 seriously soon if I ever want too look at myself with respect again.

Does UT even have a storyline? Halflife has probably the most in-depth storylines of any FPS, and that's why I love it.

I agree, it's one of the better stories I've seen..
Both HL1 and HL2

Cant wait until episode two comes out (Black Box)

HALFLIFE ROCKS!!!

I bouhgt it about two weeks ago, and I've been playing it every chance I get since. Even being out of date, it's still better than any FPS I've ever played.
