I was delighted to see that you've kept the site up for all these years. Coming here almost feels like visiting my childhood home! I think it's a real testement to how dedicated the QB community was in it's glory days.

I always regretted not keeping a copy of my GUI site, sadly all files were lost many years ago. Luckily, Todd Suess still has his GUI page up at http://qbasicgui.datacomponents.net. I still go there sometimes to browse the impressive list of 240 QB GUIs he's collected.

Not sure how many of the "old guys" are still around here - I myself haven't been around for a long time. In fact, my last post was in December of 2006!

After a long hiatus from BASIC, I some time ago acquired an old IBM PS/2 computer, and thought it would be fun to put my old GUI on it. It turned out to run pretty poorly - mostly because of its heavy reliance on disk caching and the file formats used. So, over the past many months I have from time to time been able to dust off the code and make some changes, and by now it actually runs pretty decent on this old 16 MHz i386.

For old times sake, I figured I'd post about it here. I don't see any real-world usage for a GUI like this in this day and age, but maybe someone will find it interesting. It's all open sourced, and on GitHub, so feel free to poke around the code as well - just remember that most of it was written when I was in my early teens, so don't judge too harshly

In any regard, a fun little project for me to tinker with. And happy to see that this site still lives on, many fond memories from here!
